One of the big three credit bureaus, Equifax, on Thursday confessed what's almost unbelievable -- it's been hit by a massive cybersecurity breach that compromised Social Security numbers, birthdates and other personal information on more than half of the adults in the United States. Until more details come out, you should assume you are affected by this and take several precautions.
